FAQs

Do you travel?

Absolutely! I love the open road. I will drive any open road within 90 miles of ZIP code 75234 at no charge. (small travel fee for anything further)

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes I do. I have my passport ready to get stamped! In addition to my normal rates, you would only have to pay for air fair and lodging.

How far in advance do we need to book?

I only take a limited number of weddings every year so that I can give my couples my best. Usually couples book a 9-15 months before their wedding date.

What is your media preference?

I shoot with Nikon digital cameras (DSLR).

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Within a week I will put together a sneak peek of roughly 50 photos.

The remaining photos will be fully edited and ready to enjoy in 4-8 weeks.

I know that’s killer when you are waiting but the industry standard is 3 months.

Is there an online gallery I can share with friends and family?

Yes. I will email you a link to your private (password protected) gallery with which you can share with whomever you choose.

How long until I can view my photos?

Since I go through each picture individually, the editing process can take up to 4-8 weeks. But I will have a sneak peak of 50 photos ready to view within a week of your wedding.

Can I post the photos on Facebook?

You can share all the photos you want on any social media you want! If you do give me a little photo credit in the caption that would be awesome. =]

How would you describe your working style?

I pay attention to the emotions of the day. I want to tell your wedding story well and that includes the tears grandma wipes away during the ceremony or the groom’s mother’s hand grasped firmly on his shoulder, and of course all the laughter and the REAL smiles of your guests.

Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?

Yes Please! I love to get a feel of what you are looking for, not just what I usually do. Plus that opens new and exciting adventures I can take with my camera. I’m always looking for those!

Who will be the photographer at my wedding?

The lead photographer will be me, John Mansfield.  I have a handful of photographers in the area that have a similar shoot style, so they would be second photographer. But I will always treat you like I’m the only one (so I don’t miss anything).

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I officially started All Heart Photography in the spring of 2013, but I have been photographing weddings since 2010.
