Hello! I’m John.
I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer
born and raised in the great state of Texas.
Loving coffee, scary movies,
and dancing with my wife in the kitchen.
Most mornings you can find me grinding fresh coffee beans and trying to make breakfast with a 3-year-old on my leg or holding my little baby girl (or both). I’m located in Dallas, TX but love traveling and my passport in need of more stamps. Can it ever have enough? I love adventures! I am a husband to the most wonderful woman, my Wifelette, a dad to two cute tiny humans (whom you’ll see quite often on my Instagram), and a servant at heart who lives with a focus for my savior , Jesus Christ.
When my wife and I started All Heart Photography in the Spring of 2013 we wanted it to not only make money for us, as every business owner wishes, but we wanted the business to change our community for the better. We partnered with a few local charities that we loved and since then we have added a few more. We don’t only give to different charities, but we love to let you choose which charity you want your 15% going toward. Whether you book a family session or wedding with us, you are not only getting some amazing photos, but those photos are changing the world around you and changing lives around the world!
The name “All Heart” comes from Colossians 3:23 which says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for man,” I work unto Him to the best of my abilities. When I capture the great moments of your life, I will work with that same drive and passion, so one day you will be able to relive your greatest stories from the photos taken.
Whether it’s your wedding day or a day at park with the family, my aim to make you feel relaxed and comfortable during our photo session. I also feel awkward in front of the camera so I know exactly how to help you feel more at ease. I love to capture the pure moments of life; those real emotions and true smiles and laughter not the staged, “Say cheese” kinds of photos.
One of the most important yet overlooked details about finding the best photographer for you is their personality. I believe that you should ALWAYS meet with your photographer before the session, especially if it’s for your wedding. You are going to be spending 8-10+ hours with this guy, you definitely want to make sure that he won’t drive you crazy. I aim to make your day run as smoothly as I can. Plus I throw a few corny jokes in there along the way, so that’s a plus.
Things I love:
- Movies – especially of the 80’s genre or horror
- Fantastic Coffee
- Guitar and good music
- My Family
- My Church
- My Community
- Of course, Photography
Things I don’t love:
- Alarm Clocks
- Eggs – I had a bad experience
- Making the bed
- When people put the toilet paper on the wrong way (you know who you are)
I’d love to get to know you more! Give me a call and let’s talk over coffee and take some photos that tell your story.
