Photos to Build a Church
It was a beautiful Spring day in College Station last week when we had 9 families come out for mini sessions in the bluebonnet fields of George Bush Library. Although it was only March and barely into Spring, I did end up with a slight sunburn after 6 hours in the sun.
I attend a great church here in Bryan/College Station and we recently announced that we will be building a new building for the church by the time our current lease is up in the strip mall where we are currently located. My wife and I felt that we needed to do something more than replacing a lunch every week with a PB&J and donating $10/month. So we thought about our businesses and how we could further the Kingdom through our professions. Immediately I thought of a mini session day where 100% of the proceeds would go to the church’s building fund.
Even with the less than usual price for the minis, if fully booked we would bring in $400 in one day for the building! Things quickly filled up and we even added another spot. With some people going above and beyond what was asked for them to give, we ended up with $570 for the Antioch CS building fund! We will be planning another mini session day in the summer for some fun “beach” (lake Bryan) minis and that will all benefit the church too!
Thank you to all who participated or shared the event with friends! You are awesome and you are helping the Kingdom of God grow in our town! Here is a link to find out more about the church you are helping build.
